Both Steve and I have struggled over the years with some basic management and financial principles. Since the formation of the company, we've tried implementing ideas that we read about or talked about with our peers but there seemed to always be something that didn't quite feel right and frankly, it left us open to everyone else's opinions.
I first found out about MAP through an accountant whom I had asked to provide a business valuation. Little did I know that I had the proverbial "cart before the horse" and in this past year of training, and the 2-1/2day workshops for both of us, we have a renewed sense of what it is we do, what is we should be doing and have re-committed to the success of our company. Having MAP in our lives during this time has proved to be critically important to the company's survival and has given us the tools to analyze what is happening, why it is happening and how to plan for our future. It re-affirmed that we must continually work on our business.
We couldn't have reached this point, in our company's development, and our personal development, without MAP's guidance, expertise and genuine concern for us as people and business leaders. I believe that the changes in our company, the shift in our thought processes and how we think about management and our team are permanent and positive changes. We have a solid base from which to draw our inspiration, techniques and analysis to successfully move the company toward the future.
