Behavior Analysis Tools

MAP Senior Consultants use several behavioral analysis tools to assist executives in selecting new hires, developing people and learning about themselves. Two of these tools are:

The DISC

This report analyzes an individual’s behavior style. The detailed report focuses on how the individual approaches problems, people, pace of their environment and procedures. This report is exceptionally accurate in describing an individual’s motivations, strengths, communication style and improvement opportunities.

FIRO-B

This report analyzes the individual's expressed and wanted behavior for inclusion of others, control and relationship building. FIRO-B results predict how an individual’s management style will impact others. The assessment helps individuals effectively manage communications and perceptions with others.

An interpretive analysis of both the DISC and FIRO-B by the MAP Senior Consultant is extremely helpful for executive selection and development.

Customized On-site Programs

Since 1960, MAP Senior Consultants have customized on-site workshops for MAP clients. The on-site workshops and programs are customized based on the organization’s needs, culture, and business practices. MAP workshops utilize the principles of the MAP Management SystemTM and focus on the six functions of management (Communicating, Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Controlling, and Leading).

Each MAP workshop includes three basic deliverables:

  1. Self analysis for the participant
  2. A body of knowledge (content) in the form of MAP’s extensive checklists
  3. Action steps utilizing MAP’s trade marked Team Consulting technique.

    The following are some of the on-site programs MAP can customize to your organization and people:

    Project Management – Train your people in the fundamentals of project management, attributes of an effective project leader and controlling techniques to ensure projects meet time and budget targets.

    Sales Training – Train your sales people to be productive team members. This program includes closing techniques, best sales practices, personal organization and learning to read the buying styles of customers. Sales people will also learn their primary sales style and behaviors. This knowledge can be applied to improve their overall performance.

    Effective Time Management – You will be trained in specific tools that will help you control time versus it controlling you. Customized time saver tools will be developed by each participant. Each individual will develop action plans to eliminate time wasters.

    Conducting Effective Performance Reviews – Participants will learn to establish accountability with their individual employees and the overall organization through the performance review process. You will learn how to use the performance review process as a coaching and mentoring opportunity.

    Change Management - This workshop focuses on understanding, accepting and embracing change. Each participant’s readiness for change is measured, as well as their team’s readiness to embrace both large and small changes affecting your organization.

    Superior Customer Service – The program focuses on how to recognize the components of excellent versus poor customer service. Participants will learn how to deliver well-defined, effective customer service levels in their organization.

    Effective Supervision - This program takes the fundamentals of the MAP Management SystemTM and translates them to the supervisory level. Supervisors will learn fundamentals of controlling, delegating work, goal setting, elements of leadership and performance management.
