Like MAP, America has been in the goal setting business since its very beginning. In 1961, when President Kennedy announced our country’s intention to land on the moon by decade’s end may have been America’s most challenging goal to date, but certainly attainable via a system of goals, vision, mission and plan that the folks at NASA prepared. Just one year before and far from Washington, D.C. in Pasadena, CA a man named Eric Gillberg set a similarly challenging goal and launched his own plan of action. That very plan of action led to the creation of MAP – Management Action Programs, the company and people who make it work.
Eric and his initial partners at MAP, all business management consultants, had clients who kept asking for a solution that would essentially teach them to consult for themselves. This stated need quickly evolved into a revolutionary Management Action Program, developed to teach individual managers and CEOs how to be their own management consultants (versus outsourcing this vital function). The original MAP Management SystemTM was extremely cutting edge in the arena of business management consulting and corporate training then, and is equally so today.
The program works because of the people who work it – MAP’s team of dedicated partners, staff, senior, and executive consultants. The team brings to MAP combined years of real world executive experience and expertise that total in the hundreds.
